One of, if not THE most collectible of the Prosser buttons are the so called "calico" styles. Produced in hundreds of different transfer patterns and colors, these buttons could add style to the plainest of garments. Barrels of these calico buttons were retrieved from the wreck of the Arabia, providing testimony to their use in the 1850's frontier.
