Date Added: Monday 17 September, 2007 My elastic suspenders arrived on a Friday after being ordered on Tuesday night, just in time to try them out all weekend at an event that tested Mr. Sekela's advertising claims. I am pleased to report that not only did I come home with all my buttons still in place, I found that by Sunday morning I had completely forgotten the odd sideways knee-bend that I had perfected over the last 24 years in the hobby while boiling coffee and cooking over the fire. True to my past experiences with his products, the suspenders did not disappoint. After showing them off to my pards, I know at least one placed his own order after returning from the event. If you're still worried about the authenticity of elastic, keep in mind that Thomas Hancock patented elastic fasteners for suspenders as early as 1820 in Britain. For those of you who want to personalize your kit, the suspender material appears to lend itself well to embroidery work if you are so inclined. Buy a pair of these suspenders - you'll be glad that you did!
