A distinctive piece of insignia, and particular to the early SS uniform, this embroidered eagle was applied to the early VT overseas caps. Machine embroiderd in off white on black wool, it was machine flat stitched through the outer flap.

Photographic documentation as well as existent artifacts show this eagle being worn on the reversible camoflage field cap, as well as other non regulation applications.
