Date Added: Monday 26 January, 2009 Having already reviewed the comments made by others in regards to your Officers Frock Coat it seems as if there is but little to add. However if I were to remain silent I'd fail everyone in this hobby who shares my enthusiasm and desire to maybe getting it right someday. Getting it right entails many things and as much as some people like to pronounce "its not all about the gear"…sometimes it's the gear that can motivate or pull it all together for you in the end. This coat certainly pulls it all together for me and I am now certainly motivated to get back into the field.
Upon receiving the coat it immediately became clear that my investment was wise. The details are all there including the bow in the sleeve and buttons inset into the cuff. There is velvet lining in the collar, cuff and even over the seam where the skirt meets the body of the coat. As referred to in other comments by someone else the details in the skirt pockets are superb. The buttons are again inset into the coat with their backs covered by the lining. A really nice detail is the cloth that was sewn over the back of the middle button. The quilted lining in this coat is absolutely a killer! The cloth is gorgeous as is the workmanship throughout this stunning coat. What more can be said…actually while I was at Nicks shop I picked up some really nice officers insignia as well.
Worth mentioning here is that Nick opened his shop for me to come by on a Sunday afternoon to be fitted. On top of that the turn around time on this coat was absolutely incredible!
Thanks,
Rob Weber
