ntroduced in early 1944, this jacket was part of some of the sweeping changes made in the camoflage uniforms of the Waffen SS. This jacket and trouser set was to make a strong appearance in the last months of the war. In an effort to conserve the dwindling clothing stocks, general orders were issued that these sets were to be turned in before the onset of the winter campaign. Many field units were found to be wearing the jacket and trouses combination during the Ardennes  offensive of 1944.

By far, the most common fabric for this set was a cotton herringbone twill, but as the war drew to a close, necessity dictated that this camoflage pattern be printed on any available fabric. This reproduction is offered in cotton herringbone.
